GT PP tires

Just curious if anyone else is having bad luck with these tires picking up nails?
I am getting my second tire replaced in about 9 months. First it was passenger front, now it's drivers rear. It not in the tread where they can fix it. It's right at the edge of the tread. Its a good thing I got the wheel and tire insurance when I bought the car!

Hi JPMagnetic,

I had the same problem after about 3000 km's. I had just washed the car, and took it for a quick blah to blow the water out. Came home and had a nail in the same spot.

Unfortunately they wouldn't use a plug repair, and the patch wouldn't seal. So I had to fork out for a new tyre.:thumbdown:

Yep that plus wearing out to fast.

That tire cant be patched youll need a new tire.

I had one at 10,000 km. Gave me an excuse to switch to DWS06.

I don't think it was a nail, but it was made of metal.

Debris is debris, it has nothing to do with your tires. Here in Phoenix the road debris is terrible, I have 2 plugs in my left rear tire and have had to deal with punctures since the day I moved here.

As most seemingly hate the Pirelli's you now need to replace at least one and may want to upgrade to something else.
