Are gt brake calipers brembos? Just without the brembos logo and black paint cause they look exactly the same!!

and if they are I'll ditch the gt package and just buy the 3.73 gears and everything else seperatly or is the gt package worth it ?

They are not the same, note the 2 pistons on the example above, there are 2 on the back side as well for a total of 4... the Brembo calipers are 3 preside or 6 in total, also the disk/rotor in the Brembo package is quite a bit larger (15").

i think what he is asking is if the standard GT brakes for the 2015 are the Brembo brakes used on the 2011 - 2014 with Brembo brake package / Trackpack option.

Thank you that answers it!! Is the gt package worth it ? Honestly or could I just buy different brand to where I actually have all brembos front and back not just on front

It's really difficult to know exactly what question he's asking. The GT is a model not a package, it's what gets you a V8.

If you're referring to the Performance Package, that gets you 6 piston calipers vs 4 piston, along with larger rotors. That change alone is worth the PP upgrade price, but you also get larger ARBs, along with various other upgrades including 3.73 ratio and Torsen rear end.

I suspect that's what he's asking since he references the 3.73 gears, which is one of the upgrades that comes with the PP, but keep in mind, it's a Torsen rear end as well. So, it's not just a ratio change.

Although it's also possible I'm misunderstanding the actual question.

According to my dealer...who may or may not be wrong, the PP Ecoboost brakes are the same as the standard GT brakes on the 2015. He also says the brakes are virtually identical to the 2011 - 2014 GT Brembo brakes.

Well, he's right that the EB PP brakes are the same as the standard brakes, only the GT gets the brake upgrade. I suppose he's also right in that it's 'virtually identical', although that's a little subjective not knowing the exact differences.

What we know is that they're NOT Brembos. Although they are 4 piston, and same size rotors. I've not seen someone say if the piston sizes are the same from the prior Brembo calipers and the new base caliper though. If they are, then I suppose that's identical enough for me.

Although I'm fairly certain the OP isn't referring to the EB, but who knows. I do know the 3.73 is only relevant for the GT PP, and no other models/packages.
