A used E55 for 60k, Merc only makes the E63 now and it starts at over $100k. The Porsche STARTS at $95K, and best of luck finding one without at least $10k in options. Not to mention the Porsche is downright slow compared to the Jeep. For me the SRT Cherokee has been pretty much unneeded and too expensive. I mean really, for like 60k you can get a Mercedes E55 AMG or for 90k you can get a Porsche Cayenne GTS, and the Jeep, well it's a Jeep and if you say that it;s better than a Porsche, then I don't know, but each to their own.
I agree, but if it was my money, I would still be looking for something better, because if I can afford a 100k Porsche, I'm pretty sure I should be able to afford the repairs after the warranty, because if you cannot afford the repairs, you cannot afford the car, which is why I never got a Mercedes, because I know that insurance and repairs would kill me financially. But I still never understood the SRT Jeep, it's nice, I had a chance of sitting in one, but would I spend that kind of money? No. But that's just me.A used E55 for 60k, Merc only makes the E63 now and it starts at over $100k. The Porsche STARTS at $95K, and best of luck finding one without at least $10k in options. Overall, if I had the decision to make, the Jeep would probably be what I buy. All are overpriced, none are going to hold their value well, and at least the Jeep has a 100k mile powertrain warranty. A German car out of warranty is a nightmare.
