Got vin (last 8 digits only) ...???

I was left a message from my dealer that I now had a vin. However, they only gave me the last 8 digits of the vin. From searching on the forum it seems as if there are a number of different combinations of the first 9 digits.

How can I find out the first 9 digits of my vin if I'm impatient and don't want to wait until I speak to the dealer to inquire?

I thought that they were the same until I went looking for the first part and was coming across different numbers/letters. For example: 1FA6P8JZ9G552****. But I guess that is maybe because of a different year or maybe a pre-production model or something. Either way, thank you for the reply and info.

That's not completely accurate. First, Rs have a different letter designation, and there are different numbers/letters used on all models between the Z and G. You really need to get the complete VIN. If you call Ford Performance, they may be able to provide the entire VIN and give you a production date as well. Certainly, your dealer should be able to provide as well... Congratulations!!!

If you call Ford Performance, they may be able to provide the entire VIN and give you a production date as well. Certainly, your dealer should be able to provide as well... Congratulations!!!

The check digit is unique as well

Called ford performance and got my " produced" date: March 31

And I agree with above post I spoke with Isaac and he was very friendly and answered all questions I had.
