Agreed...

Beyond very few little quirks..the S550 is an amazing platform. That man earned his money and promotion. Glad a bean counter is not at the helm of Ford Global Performance, but a car guy.

Thanks TN, that was a good read :)

Mr Pericak is definitely a hero of mine. I'd love to be able to have a few beers with him and chat about Mustangs. I'm proud to say I met him briefly at Goodwood last year. He was giving an interview on the Ford stand, but he was kind enough to take a few minutes with a friend and I.....a few photos of us next to the GT concept, and an autograph. Some may look up to sports or film stars......but, for me, he's The Man :)

I'd still like to know who's replaced him as Mustang Chief Engineer. Tom Barnes (who I've also met briefly!!!) said on A Faster Horse, that he wouldn't want that job....so who is the main Mustang man now?

Another man just like Dave is Pete Reyes. He was the '15+ F-150 Chief Engineer. He was an amazing leader on that program in the same way. He challenged everyone to do more, more than they thought they could, while at the same time, giving all the support they could ever need to accomplish those goals. When the job was done, he joked, laughed and was genuinely fun to be around. He's now working as a Director in the UK on another big thing.

I also met Dave briefly and he left a good impression. Friends that work with/for him say he is difficult to work for, due to expectations, but not in a bad way.
