Going to the dealer tomorrow-*Ordered first mod*

Hello guys,

I've been negotiating with a local Ford dealer for the last 2 days. Car is a 2020 GT PP1, 301A, A10, Ford Safe&Smart. Before you guys scream at me because of the price, I am living in Puerto Rico and we pay an import tax on all vehicles. On this case it's a 20% aprox tax , yes Veinte percent lol. Ford Sticker MSRP is $45,300. Taxes and titles are around $9,060. We agreed on $48,500 otd.

I was analyzing on buying a car in CONUS and then ship it but it will be almost the same price. Maybe a couple of hundreds or $1,000 at the end of the day. So, I decided to buy it local.

Just to give you guys an idea, GT Base are around $42K, Black Package are $44K, PP1 $52-54K and PP2 $61K+.

Another thing is that there's only like 6-7 PP1 available at the island that I know of. One them has a price a $65K. Its a PP1 Premium, A10, 401A, Recaros. That dealer told me that the lower they can go is $60K and not a penny less.

Anyway, I am happy and cant wait to finalize the deal.

how about just buying a used car from SE usa? It's not like people put any real miles on these to begin with and surely the tax situation is much better on used?

In New Zealand a new GT Premum PP1 is NZD $83,000! And you cant import one from the USA if a RHD variant is available ex factory. You could therefore import a GT350 no problem but not a GT.

Ran into an issue with the F&I of the dealer. They wanted me to use their finance institution and I wanted to use mine. We reached an agreement and I am going tomorrow (again) to finalize the deal. Sales rep and Sales Manager are good guys.

I called a few more dealers today and I am getting a great deal with the Kona Blue.
