Not sure what this has to do with EV's?

But regarding your comment I am delighted our freedom of speech is tempered with responsibility and accountability. Freedom of speech does not normalise racism and hate speech.
From the linked story
"reveal that 3,395 people across 29 forces were arrested last under section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, which makes it illegal to intentionally “cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another”, in 2016."

Hello; Hardly only about racism and hate speech. I wonder if calling someone an "idiot" would fall under the law. Being called an idiot for sure can be annoying. Might even cause anxiety.

From the linked story
"Around half of the investigations were abandoned before being brought to prosecution, which critics say is an indication that the authorities are being excessively strict in their interpretation of the law’s restrictions on freedom of speech.

Hello; Interesting huh? "

From the linked story
"seeming inconsistency in the enforcement of free speech restrictions has also been a source of contention, with the Metropolitan Police — who detained 867 people in 2016, according to the Times figures — appearing reluctant to investigate people such as Nadia Chan, the self-described Islamist who was revealed as having made a number of deeply racist remarks about white people on social media after an app"

"model Munroe Bergdorf"

Hello; Seems the racism stuff you are so against is OK under this law as long as it is directed at white people. I decided not to quote the comments of Munroe Bergdorf and Nadia Chan in our forum here as the language goes too far. Any interested can open the link to see what they said.
After dealing with you the last years I can understand that you delight to have this speech law in your country. Bet I would not last long on social media over there.

Toyota has a goal to produce 3.5 million electric vehicles by 2030, which would be more than a third of its current sales, while rival automakers promise to exclusively offer such vehicles.

From the very article you posted. Seems pretty committed to me. Plus of course Toyota is has been producing hybrids for years and also the only FCEV in the Toyota Mirai.

Not really sure the point you are trying to make other than Toyota has a significant commitment to EV's?

From the second article "It's not a problem yet," Daniel Sperling, automotive member of the California Air Resources Board, told Insider. "But we need to invest in facilities now."

No shit Sherlock - hardly ground breaking. OF COURSE you need to invest in battery recycling which is why companies are doing it RIGHT NOW!
Hello; I posted a link about a Toyota boss not long ago and now the link referred to above. Yes, Toyota has been a leader in the hybrid and hydrogen vehicles since the early 2000's. The point of the links is even with their sales and involvement so far they are not "all in" on the future of EV's. Toyota is likely big enough to continue to make and sell both EV's and ICE.

Absolutely, because relying on oil is far from a secure policy. The guy is a troll. I wonder if we have seen him before?
Idiot. EV's are not for the next 3 months they are for decades and more.
Hello; Troll and idiot in the span of two posts. Hope the speech censors of your country do not see this.
Got to love the oil is not secure bit. I wonder how secure current EV owners are after last summers calls that they not charge their vehicles or use appliances and this winters ongoing woes with electric power shortages.

The buying up candles is to have light when the electric power is out. Funny how a current crisis can be so easily dismissed. Hey folks do not dwell on today's freezing in the dark, think about how good things will be decades from now.

Gregs24 - “Freedom of speech doesn’t oblige you to be rude and insensitive though.”

Looks as though ole mush mouth is the idiot and a hypocrite. I’m sure he’s a good little lemming and abides by his governments prohibition of insensitive speech. Notice he drives his ICE vehicles, yet is a brainwashed climate change looney. His hypocrisy is only overshadowed by his stupidity. Muh EV is for decades and more.🤣🤣🤣

typical response from you……..when you‘re proven wrong!! I can’t believe you still post on this site. You are such a joke. Medical professional my ass!
He was trolled... not "proven wrong". He tends to not have patients with trolls...

I can mentally ignore them until I want to have some fun. In that sense trolls are useful.

Too bad I didn't get a screenshot of the meltdown tripyellmust had late last night... before deleting his post. Full of political comments, etc... very telling.

Some simply want to have a conversation on the facts and learn new stuff. The extra weight/undertone of politics in discussions take them off course. Sad.

Some people are so screwed up they are not worth the time of day. It is so predictable. Silly comments, no facts, followed by political rants and then a ban. How a rant about politics and freedom of speech are ever relevant to a thread on EV's I don't know.

Freedom of speech doesn't oblige you to be rude and insensitive though. It is possible to be kind, sensitive and thoughtful as well as embracing freedom of speech and behaviour. If you are just a contrary oaf for the sake of it that isn't so clever!

It is possible to be illegal and immoral by speech alone
You brought it up Bub.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Unfortunately, they missed the mark again and demand is down. Stock is way off yet again today and Musk’s world richest man status is no longer. Losing $200 billion is another record he has set. I guess a $137 billion net worth is nothing to sneeze at, however. Continued competition for Tesla and world EV demand will determine what happens next for them

yeah, those prices are laughable. Try $80,000 for the Lightning with sales above $100,000 all day long. Insane. Give me a new F-150 for $31K and I’ll buy it.
Lightning base price went from $40K to about $58K. And that is if you order one. Off a lot expect to pay $20K over sticker. I looked at a New F150 5.0 last year at $30K I didn't buy it because it was a long bed. My last F150 I bought was a 2013. I paid $24K. RCSB, STX, 5.0, 3.55 gears, and preferred options. Traded in for my Mustang 5.5 years later for $17,500. Now used would be worth $24k that I paid new in the same condition.
