Hi guys,

I am going to be installing my ROUSH pedal kit soon. I was thinking about removing the gas pedal making life easier for drilling purposes and making sure its straight. How is this done?

Thanks Anthony

You want to drill new mounting holes for your gas pedal? Curious as to why.

Probably installing a metal pedal cover in place of the existing plastic/rubber pedal.

OP, there are three bolts and a wiring harness. Get under the dash and remove them. If you have a manual, go ahead and add some 3/8" plastic spacers between the firewall and the pedal assembly on the bolts so the pedal sits higher when compared to the brake pedal. It'll help with heel/toe downshifts.

Literally three 10mm nuts and an electrical connector. I marked the location for drilling for my pedals with it in the car and made sure I didn't have issues getting to WOT, then removed and drilled.

Awesome, thanks for the 411. I have 10 speed auto.. So its just 3 bolts and plug and play. Great!

Looks fabulous!!!!!!!! Love it!!! =) Thats smart, im gonna do the same. Plus make sure that its super straight as well. I had a foxbody and the damn pedal covers were crooked lol i always hated looking at them, but was a major ballbuster to install in that car.. Dont wanna make same mistake again! hahahaha Hence the pedal removal.

Thanks Ant

Best of luck. Drilled the gas pedal and dead pedal with a regular drill bit out of the car after marking location inside of the car.

On the Brake and Clutch, you kind of have to do it in the car and I used a dremel ball bit to make the holes as it is way easier to get into such a tight space and you don't have to be perpendicular to the pedal since you're grinding the metal out with the ball bit vs drilling.
