I am installing ctek battery tender and will install the permanent connector to the fusebox’s positive terminal with the eyelet connector. The 10mm nut there is damn hard to get off and I want to make sure while tightening it, I tighten it properly. Does anyone know the torque spec?

Also the same question for the ground connection to the strut tower.

Thank you

I am not sure there are specs. I installed mine a few weeks ago and did it by feel- basically once it stops turns by hand then I tighten it with a Socket by maybe 1/16 of a turn

Once it bottoms by hand I think you will get the feel for how far you can go

Thank you. I think I tightened it a bit more because checking the two other nuts, they are so tight that they literally won’t turn anymore.

Did you disconnect the battery at first (negative or positive) or did you just remove the nut while everything is connected?

I played it safe and disconnected the battery before removing that but- I was concerned I would screw something up if not

Well I didnt and I had some sparks on the red cable connecting to the fuse box while connecting the other cable. Thankfully nothing went wrong (from what I can tell) and car still runs.
