Just a little heads up for you all.
I fitted my new steering wheel over the weekend and went to follow the instructions exactly. So step 3 involves removing fuse 35 from the passenger compartment fuse box in the right hand foot well.
Ford in their infinite wisdom have on our rhd cars placed an accelerator pedal assembly in front of the fuse box access panel. Hence if you ever find yourself at the side of the road with a blown internal fuse just drive to your nearest Ford dealer as you cannot change them without a socket set, torch, small child, and lots of cursing.

On a side note I just gave up and skipped that step. Didn't set the airbag off.

I didn't pull the fuse either. But I did disconnect the battery and go and have a cup of tea before starting (and watched Bill's video for the air bag connectors which had me stuck for a minute).

Agreed. Works fine for fitting the wheel. I'm not looking forward to a few years time when I'm trying to replace the fuse for the radio though.

Turn car off, depress accelerator with one arm, remove panel with the other wasn't all that hard, can also lay a brick on it.

I just removed the battery to be on the safe side (neg and positive) and no airbag deployed, you're a brave man doing it with the battery still in, Fuse seems to be intact, but if I die with my head through my wheel, I suppose i'll have eaten my words. ;)!

I disconnected the battery as per step 4. I guess step three is to guard against charge still being in the rcv capacitors.

Interesting you were able to remove the fuse with the accelerator depressed. On mine that isn't possible.
