FRPP side exhaust not used much... Why?

I have just purchased my 16 pp gt. I am interested in the frpp side exhaust but I do not see many people on here using it. I was wondering why not, is it the high price or does it now sound to your liking. Either way why are you not purchasing and. Or using it.

I don't think side exhaust goes well with these new cars.

I guess no one has a clean look product yet. They all look very low and thin.

Plus, pipes exiting just behind the driver will make for rather loud drives.

I like the sound of it, but I think there's two main reasons why more people don't have it: 1) it's expensive, and 2) it sounds like it's pretty loud. I would've gotten it (and I've been tempted to add it), but I can't imagine how loud it would be with headers and a Borla S-Type.

Some people look at it as a $1,000 mid pipe (which it technically is), and from that perspective, it's insanely expensive, but I think it could really substitute for a catback. I wanted larger exhaust tips to fill out the cutouts in the rear fascia, so I would've had to pair it with an axle back, and then it starts getting expensive. It's possible to buy headers for less and add real power.

I had the a boss 302 take off mid pipe with side exhaust and gt500 axle backs on my 13 for a while. It sounded great and cost next to nothing. I just think it's too expensive and people rather have a full catback.

I do not mind it loud, I do want the volume. I understand the expense issue, as I was thinking full exhaust with new headers (with) the side exhaust. And the frpp touring cat back system. So it looks like I'll probably be the first.

The 12/13 Bosses had the side pipes which is where they came from. They do not provide any power gains but it is mostly for sound. If you like a muscle car rumble these pipes do that without being any louder than slapping on a cat back.

I have them with the ford racing touring axle back and stock headers. Sounds great and it's kinda nice having something not a lot of people have. When WOT it sounds great and there is a noticeable amount of pop and crackle now that I have a few miles on the system. But it is expensive unfortunately...
