Hey guys!

So I'm trying to figure out the exhaust system on 15+ GT. Coming out of a Fox Body and a 2013 GT, I'm used to the Headers/X or H Pipe/Catback setup. I've recently put an order on a 2016 GT and I'm trying to figure out my next exhaust system. I ran long tubes on both of my previous Mustangs with O/R mid pipes.

What I'm wondering is if it would be possible to run FRPP Side Exhausts (the Boss style one) with headers. I can't seem to figure out where does the piping included with most headers end up compared to the mid pipe.

Thanks guys!

the frpp side exhaust mounts up like any catback to the existing stock manifolds or headers because the side pipes are on the the side of the xpipe but it's no different than mounting an xpipe or hpipe. you would just need to make sure you have chosen headers that have a 2.5" connection option for the frpp side exhaust.

So pretty much any headers offering a Factory Connection should work?

Sweet. That's one thing that bummed me about my 2013.

Correct! The FRPP X section basically just replaces the resonator and still uses the OEM connection on the front side but requires cutting of the rear to obviously remove the resonator. I would suggest the American Racing Headers 1-7/8" long tubes with or without cats (depending on how aggressive you want to get with the sound).
