Question, that probably only someone with each (vendor?) could answer...

I currently have the FRPP/Borla Touring Cat-Back. I am contemplating getting the Roush Axle-Back, if the mufflers attach at the same point?

I am kind of assuming they do, since the Borla can be bought as an axleback as well.

i'm curious about this as well for if i ever went quad with frpp sport minus the sport mufflers and adding roush quads

it would be very nice if I could just switch out the mufflers only and not have to take it all off and use my stock exhaust and hack it up for an xpipe and roush mufflers.

yeah it does appear that roush cuts some more off. it might just end being easier to hack up the stock exhaust and get xpipe+quad axle back, and sell off the frpp sport as a whole if i ever do it. Really wouldn't make sense to cut more off the frpp pipes to fit roush ab quad.

I'm looking at changing to the Roush axle back from my current FRPP Touring which I already swapped the x-pipe for the Borla resonator. So it sounds like the Roush axle back will go on the FRPP/Borla exhaust with a little more cutting? If so what would happen if I wanted to go back to the FRPP/Borla mufflers?

then your screwed as pipe will be missing. makes more sense to use stock exhaust if you still got it and chop the mufflers and resonator suitcase off of it and sell off your frpp

but if you thought the touring was too loud to begin with switching to roush is not going to even near as quiet as what you got now. I'm the opposite... I want louder than the frpp sport.

Don't have stock exhaust :/ started to keep OEM parts after that. Here's my quick breakdown and any input will help as I'm just guessing at this point. Bought FRPP Touring to have a quieter catback exhaust. It was a little too quiet but when I got on it, the volume got pretty nice, small rasp but it was ok. Added headers and amplified the rasp like crazy. Volume with headers & touring was good, but wanted to get rid of the rasp so got the Borla resonator. That killed the volume dramatically but also killed the rasp which was good. Sounds like stock to me now (obviously not that quiet but you get the point). So now I'm trying to make it louder but keeping that deeper Borla resonator sound so I'm thinking getting louder axle backs would be the next attempt.

yeah that would be a toss up...you may indeed get what you want going roush ab then. although might make more sense to get borla atak ab though as a direct replacement for the frpp touring ab part of the catback.

Not a huge fan of the Atak but I almost put that I was going to see if I can find someone with a S type axleback to test them out lol. Been listening to all the axlebacks. Even harder to tell when there's none paired up with the Borla resonator, at least that I can find.

i just realized the quad roush ab cuts even more so definitely would have to reuse stock exhaust and buy an xpipe if I ever did it. then sell of frpp sport as a whole.

why roush doesn't just sell full catback who knows. not spending $3k+ on their active stuff though, no way.

I was looking at the quad active deal for a while until all in it was going to be 4k+
