Wanted to get an idea of what you all were using for front plate mounts across the forum.

I'm leaning toward the ZL1 addons piece because the sto-n-show is too low and I'm not fond of craig's bracket only using sticky tape. Still undecided.

The dealer I bought from doesn't install brackets on Mustangs. The dealer they transferred my car from apparently does. I was bummed and oddly relieved at the same time when I saw the factory bracket already installed.

If I had a choice I would have done Craig's.

Used Craigs on my last 350. No issues with the tape at all but, not happy with the customer service. Will be looking at another for the new R

No need to worry about the tape on the Craigs, it is plenty strong enough for a flimsy license plate.

Love it, looks awesome. Other than price, I don't see the downside to the ZL1 option.

Install is not easy. Recommend taking off the bumper to install the receiver. But it is nice to have a proper tow hook and a place to put on a front plate if needed.

Not required to remove the bumper. The guy who did the video recommended it.

+1. If your car has a belly pan, that will have to come off, but not the bumper.

I did the bumper. A little time consuming but not difficult. Other way looks like it would have banged up my hands pretty good.

Still a little pissed that Ford did not make a row hook standard on a track focused car. But the ZL1 tow hook is a well thought out solution.

Modifying the car is relaxation time for me, so what Ford didn't provide, I'm happy to add.

The worst part of going through the bottom was the 20 something screws that have to be removed and replaced for the belly pan. A quick trip to harbor freight and one 3/8" electric ratchet later, problem solved!
