Some reflection. Came out great. Still thinking about the chrome 5.0 sides. Those can come off with some fishing line under them?

Fishing line will do the trick quick and easy. The 5.0 has 2 alignment pins

So would I have to slice through the pins using fishing line?

Some comments from me which may / may not help given the stage you are at :like:

OEM badge from ford (U.K.) is way under $50.

How the stock badge is held on (this one is replaced with a OEM black version and new stainless washers) :

What you will find behind the 5.0 badges :

Wow. Even though I did paint the front on. Interesting clips used. Also how the holes are. BTW I did order black 5.0 emblems!

FYI ...

If you remove the OEM badge, you'll very likely break the pins, I did when I removed mine.

Then the issue is reattaching (since the back is hollow), but here's a pretty good trick:

Place it face down and fill the back with epoxy - you know, so it's even with the edge, let it dry, then you've a flat surface to install some good 3M tape. I removed the badge from my '16, painted, filled the back, reinstalled, it was on for 3+ years, traded it in, and transferred the badge over to my '19. It was pretty easy to pry out of the grill and add some new tape, and now that's been on my car for close to 2 years
