Front Camera on base models?

Like the title says does anyone know if its possible to attach a front camera to the base 4.2inch screen on the base models?

Why not? Couldn't I tap into the wiring for the rearcam and a switcher circuit with a button that could turn on the feed for the front camera?
You could do something like that I suppose but it would only display in reverse.

I explained in another thread how it could be done.. It would be essentially the same scenario.. Only problem is there is not a solution for the smaller screen to have a forced reverse.. So that would be the challenge.. The larger screen there is a way to force reverse

Just read into it. Its good but eventually I plan to either get a tomtop or raxiom unit.

In the meantime I will be connecting the front camera to a new rearview mirror with a built in display.

look at my car in the build section. It is under S550 build. I did what you are looking to do with the 8" screen. The Nav-TV module will work for what you are looking for, however it is not plug and play. It is essentially taking over the rear camera when you need it. You will have to install a switch to activate the front camera. Make sure to use a camera that has a reversable image feature or your camera image will be backwards. I am a NAV-TV dealer and can get you the module, etc. if needed.
