I was wondering if I drill out the grill on the drivers side where the intake port is, will it help get more cold air to my intake? It only has half of the ports open. The rest of the grill on the drivers side is blocked off. Just noticed it.

The grill is blocked as part of the aero design of the car for fuel efficiency and high speed stability.

I plan on doing exactly that opening up the grill. The trade off is reduced fuel economy and more front end lift. To combat lift I will find a way of opening up the vent in the hood. For any additional air coming out of the hood vent I will get additional air though my heat exchanger and radiator. To assure I get additional air pressure at the airbox opening I'll put a divider between the air box input and the radiator, Ford left that out.
