I hope this question/topic is posted in the right forum grouping. I'm terrified that I might post in the wrong forum grouping and be accused of being a troll or something. I don't quite ken the draconian enforcement rigidity of the forum groupings. They don't come naturally to me. It's about cars. The forum groupings are arbitrary categories and they could be anything. At this point, what difference does it make?

Don't worry too much just look through the and see what makes the most sense.

If it's really in the wrong place the mods will move it.

Think of it from the point of view of somebody who might have exactly the answer that you're seeking. Essentially, you're asking them to do you a [free] favor, so putting your question where the people most likely to have the best answers are most likely to see it, and see it as soon as possible, should only make sense.

By way of example, if you posted a suspension or wheel/tire question in the Photos/Videos/Photoshop section I doubt that I would ever see it. Other topics would crowd it off the first and probably second and third pages, and by the time it dropped down to page 4 you'd have likely gotten tired of waiting. Never mind that I probably wouldn't dig that deep for something to answer anyway.

People with answers tend to stay in the sections where they have the most experience and/or knowledge. Looked at another way, if the cold water line to the hot water heater in your house sprung a leak, would you be calling an electrician or a roofer . . . or the plumber?

Hope this helps - and you should understand that it's extremely unusual for me to even go to the off-topic section of any forum. Let alone post an answer in an O-T thread.
