Sorry for being a bit off-topic but you bring up a good point about RHD markets.Have GM finally indicated that a Camaro might eventually be produced in RHD? Or is that still rumour and supposition?
I know they looked at a feasibility study of doing this, entirely based on the success of the RHD Mustang project, but thought they had decided against with the fact that their (GM's) strategy really no longer includes too many RHD nations (UK, NZ and AU essentially) and they don't care too much of these markets anymore?
With GM about to sell Vauxhall (and Opel) to PSA, they will have less potential RHD volume. India is a sleeping giant but I don't think Mustang is selling in any worthwhile numbers there, as Ford has never stated how many they are selling there (that I can find). I have heard rumours of numbers that are far less than Australia, by a long way.
I have only kept one eye on the Camaro RHD issue, but it seems the car will be designed with RHD in mind, but they are keeping the option of axing it if they find RHD is not viable at the time of release.
The loss of the UK market is not going to help, but I hope it is not dropped. It would be good to have a car to continue the diminishing Ford vs Holden rivalry.
