The FP is Made by borla but has a slightly different sound.
‘I think I heard somewhere on here that the big difference is warranty’s. the borla is a million miles where as the FP is something stupid like 3 years 🤷🏽‍♂️

I thought i remembered hearing that the FP ones are always a step lower in the sound range as well. the FP sport will be equivalent to the touring borla if I'm not mistaken. I had a set on a 2012, sounded good but very subdued.

The pipes size is not the same? I think ford is 2 .75 and Borla is 3 inch?

FP is 2.5” pipes. Borla is 2.5” pipes for convertible and 3” for coupe.

ETA: this is comparing the FP sport/touring vs the Borla S-type and Extreme. Not sure about the Borla Touring.

It’s probably best if you call borla. I only had borla catback , so I can’t tell if there is a different, but it must cause the price is different

I had the Ford racing borla exhaust on my 2017 GT. It was very quiet and i honestly thought it was stock until I put it on a lift to install my mbrp catback. The real sound change comes from eliminating the after cat resonator.

This isn't true about the 3 years warranty. Maybe on paper but Borla doesn't care.

I have a 2015 with the frpp by Borla sport and it came with the car when I bought it.

The X pipe cracked on me last year and I phoned up Borla for a replacement. Gave them the part number / my shipping address and a new one showed up in a few days no cost. I didn't have a receipt nor did they ask for one or even care how old it was.

The X pipe on the frpp vs Borla is different. FRPP on can crack. Borla one seems made a bit more durable. But see above, who cares they'll replace it if it cracks.

Both systems are 2.5" mandrel bent.

Mufflers are different between the frpp and sport. Not sure what's different though.

Borla touring keeps the suitcase resonator / FRPP touring has the X pipe.

Both frpp / Borla sport have the X pipe

Neither the frpp / borla come with weep holes in the mufflers. Borla recommends you drill some. They even have their own directions on how to do.
