That was a horribly written article
They just glance on the fact that the consumers are driving the demand for the the bigger vehicles, and specifically CUV's. Also, that pretty much all manufactures are getting hammered in sedan and coupe sales. I'ts almost like the author wants these companies to dictate what vehicles we have available to us.:thumbdown:
It also fails to note that Ford is pretty much leaving the infrastructure in place to ramp up car sales again if the market changes. The chassis on most of the CUV's are based on car chassis and the fact they are still selling cars on the international market points out that Ford won't stop developing cars.
I'm not to hot at all in the direction that Ford is headed, but that article was a smear job IMO

I don't think the OP was posting the article because he was trying to inform everybody about Fords decision..thats like OLD news now, and pretty much everybody had a say in it. I think the OP was posting the article because it was slam job on Ford and totally written with an agenda. Maybe merge his post, but no real reason to want the thread closed.
