For those who've tinted their fog lights using Lamin-x or something similar, do you have to remove the light to apply? If so, how difficult is it to do? Do you need to remove the belly pan? Go in through the fender? Has anyone used paint instead of film to tint their fogs?

I didn't remove my 18+ fog lights when I installed mine from Big Worm.
I just soaked everything in distilled water with a spray bottle, lined up the film the best i could with about 1/4" overhang, gently pushed the lens back away from the bumper ever so slightly then used a plastic fiber stick and gently folded/pushed the film between the bumper and the lens. Be gentle and take your time.
then hit it with some heat and squeegee out the rest of the water.

sorry for the dirty car pics, been running around for 4 days trying to set users up to work from home... fun

FYI - the shade I am using is listed on Big Worm's site is "tint(lightest)"

I just received my yellow Lamin-x fog light film today.
Might finally have time to install all of my parts that I've accumulated thanks to sheltering in place and not trying to catch coronavirus.

I removed my fogs to apply lamin-x, felt it was ultimately easier. I tried applying the tint while on the car but I couldn't heat & smooth the tint properly.
