I was chatting with the owner of Autotech last night who did the tune on my car and he mentioned he was building a package for the Focus RS. Wouldn't let me leave until I'd taken the RS for a spin (still stock) :headbang: What a pocket rocket. It's like a damn go cart. It pops and crackles when you change gears, hangs on like a psycho ex girlfriend and is generally a very nimble fun little car to drive. We had 2 x 100kg blokes in it and it was still a blast! Great little toy for the missus ;)

good but getting better. I did an exhaust and air raid kit first. Made a huge difference, got the the tune and it compliments it well. We're going back on the dyno in 2 weeks to see what more we can do. Cannot recommend Autotech highly enough. Spiro the owner is bloody awesome. Customer service is unbelievable. I didnt know him from a bar of soap until we did my tune but now he's a mate.

Thats good to hear, its certainly a relief when you find a company you trust with your car. I have had a few false starts with companies but also found one I am happy with.

Certain precious users here get upset very quickly if you talk about your experience with a local tuner.

Hoping to see your car improve and get more powerful in the future

Precious member checking in! But seriously, I am a big fan of the guys at Bluepower, have visited them for a chat a couple times. Would definitely trust them with my car. Other local tuners not so much... I may not have elected to use a local tuner, but that was due to the route I want to take with my car.

Also agree that it is very difficult to find a company to trust with your car (which is partly why I avoid doing so as much as I can, but also because I enjoy the process of doing things myself). So when you find somewhere you are happy with, stick with them.

On the thread topic, I am very keen to drive a Focus RS. The ST is a great car for what it is (FWD Hot Hatch) and a blast to drive. If the RS can hold onto the things that make the ST great and bring it to another level (with RWD bias) it would be awesome.

The Grand Tour (New Top Gear) did a segment on Focus RS vs. Mustang GT too. On straights, the Focus RS takes off faster. However Mustang would catch up eventually and overtake it. But taken to their test track, the Focus actually beats the Mustang by about a second.

I have given an RS a good run and after 2nd gear in my auto GT he was eating my dust and had no hope. Not sure if he just didn't know how to drive manual or was not pushing it hard. So it will be interesting when i get my RS and give it a run again.

Just sold my RS Mk2 Focus and yes my wife did not like getting in the Recaro's either, she is short and the side bolsters are rock hard so she would often cork her hamstring on it.

The Mk2 was also a great drive and more than one person I had as a passenger could not believe it was front wheel drive. I would like a run in the new one but the Mustang is my kind of car.

Seems like the old Top Gear did the same test and had the same out come too. Focus took off faster but mustang would catch up and overtake soon.
