Hi everyone. Last year I finally fitted my LED tri-bars into my headlights. I have noticed today that the left, N/S headlights tribars flicker randomly but only when the engine is running. I'm guessing its interference from something nearby, but just in case someone has had this issue and knows the fix, I thought I'd ask the question here..

Do you know what they're wired in to?

I had this on a previous car (Porsche) with LEDs where they weren't expected. Sometimes you can get away with increasing the load on the circuit.

I put tri-bars in a month or so ago and just put it straight on to a fuse tap in the engine bay fuse box, that way you don't get the "BCM" pulsed current. The feed to the DRLs (and maybe the parking lights too) is some weird pulsed one rather than just a normal flow. I have aftermarket LED parking/indicator lights that came with a load resistor already installed, and tapped the parking light and indicator wires into that, and then for the DRLs just ignored the actual DRL wiring (red wire) and used a fuse tap rather than splicing.

Don't have my car at the moment so can't tell you which fuse, but I think it was 66 or 68 (reverse camera one in the engine bay I think).

Thanks Mike.
I wired them as per the instructions in the set from diode dynamics. So basically they are tapped into the existing side, flasher and DRL wires.
I figured if the manufacturer tells you to do it a certain way, best go along with it.
However.. things have changed.. it’s stopped doing it today?
I reckon I made a bad connection somewhere?
