My installer flashed the car on his laptop.

I have the flare tool on my laptop and I want to mess with the flight control. I don’t seem to have a configuration tab because I didn’t flash the car with this laptop.

Without reflashing, doing crank relearn again or borrowing installers laptop etc... is there a way to get into the tool to mess with flight settings?

Thanks

The installer just needs to send you the .flare file. They should have put it on the provided usb drive.

Cool. Do I put this in a specific folder or something?

Nope. Only reason to move it to another folder is to make it easier to browse to open it.

Just to be clear. I initially requested and got the stage 2 tune from Whipple. I put that on a thumb drive and gave it to my installer. He installed flare tool on his laptop and flashed my car using the tune I downloaded from Whipple.

Now I want to mess with settings on my laptop but I don’t have a configuration tab andhe does on his

I just installed flare and opened my .flare file on my computer that I did not use to flash my car. Everything came up the same, configure tab and all. I even moved the .flare file to my desktop and it opens fine, so there's no dependent files.

Try uninstalling the flare program and reinstall it.

Are you opening the tune file after opening the flare software? You have to open the tune file in the flare software to get the configuration tab to show up.

That was the ticket! I was afraid to open the file because I thought that it was going to reflash the car.
