Hello, I had an issue with my 2022 Mustang GT throwing a wrench light, CEL, and going into limp mode everytime I passed 3,500+ RPMs. I have seen many previous post about this issue and a variety of different codes. I hope this post helps anyone with the same issues/code as me resolve their problem as I was thrown for a loop and a lot of similar post did not have the answer that fixed mine or the same code.

If you get all of the symptoms above with the wrench light, CEL, and limp mode as well as a code P061B there is a very high chance all you need to do is replace your old battery! My battery was a little over 3 years old, and after checking my vehicle inside out, I decided to replace the battery, thinking the worst case scenario I would have a fresh battery so it's a win win if it did not solve the issue. The voltage gauge on the digital dash was reading 13-14v like normal, and no battery light so it was very confusing.

Low and behold.... next start, still a CEL but no more limp mode!! The car ran like a champion, and on the 2nd startup the CEL cleared by itself before I could even plug in the OBD 2 scanner. I hope no one runs into the issue, but if you do I hope this solves it!
