So decide to try my first touch up on a chip on my wife's Odyssey. It came out OK, but the paint blobbed out of the pen a bit on me and got some air in it I believe. Not sure if I should try to put another coat of touch up on it and sand, cut, polish again or just put the clear on and be done with it. I'm thinking I maybe able to work the scratches next to it a bit more with my sanding block too?

Dr Color Chip best kit out there for chips. Nice job on the scratches though

Thanks! Yea I had seen people talking about dr color chip, I wasn't sure how it'd match the color and ended up getting touch up paint from Honda. Got a meguiars 2000 unigrit block, m105 and m205 for sanding cutting and polishing and those worked well.

Did honda give you the touch up paint in a pen or the bottle with a brush?

Had both, the brush worked better as the pen bled the paint fast. If I hit it again I'll probably use the brush or just toothpicks.

Did you get the touchup paint in a bottle with a brush from Honda? The reason I ask is when I asked my Honda dealer they told me it is discontinued, I guess they lied to me:paddle::rant: The pen is indeed worthless

Haha ah, yes I just ordered it and it came in last week. Charged me $8 for it, which was a little higher than I found on Amazon, but I figured if I was going to buy it if get it from Honda so I knew it would be as close as possible. I'm pretty happy with it, I'm horrible with paint so I'm surprised it came out pretty well. Looked again tonight and it is hard to find the spot now. If the paint wouldn't have bubbled from the blob of the pen I think it would have come out pretty smooth. The unigrit block was easy to use as well, I'd recommend it though it was expensive compared to just buying some 2000 grit paper.
