First Bath

Well just passed 400 miles in 2 months, crappy weather here in NC, and gave her a first bath: self car wash. Easy but leaned some things drying. The front wheels need to be rubbed with a cloth/something the pressure washer didn't do a thing to the brake dust. Also, with the hood up the air vents keep dripping and dripping. Put a couple of wash cloths there until they dried. It looks beautiful. I couldn't believe how much white dust, whatever they put on our roads for black ice was on the car. Tomorrow a full wax job. We're in for another 2 days of heavy rain so a good time to do this.

That white dust is Sodium Chloride or better known as road salt - the nemesis of the American automobile...

Lived in CO for 24 years, we had this and sand and clay dust and anything else they could throw on the roads. So I guess this isn't so bad just need to get it off the babe.
