It still amazes me the attention this car gets.

Had a 3 day conference here last week.

The car holds incredibly a lot, lol. Wife had the SUV and she wasn't about to drive the Mustang to work so... Was able to fit 6 boxes of t-shirts. Drop the top, 4 in the back seat, 2 in the trunk - took a little convincing to get the 2 in the trunk, but it fit (about 500 t-shirts total). + a 30 inch monitor and it's 5ft stand + 2 laptops right behind the seats on the floor + random bits (table cloths and stuff). Put the top back up and were on our way to load in.

Had a nice chat with valet at one of the hotels - I guess if it's a fancy car, they'll just let you park out front for an hour and a half while you and your crew are at lunch - fortunately, they didn't drive it, lol...

Pull into the convention center to tear down the booth and load the car; had a good 5 minute conversation with a passerby admiring the car. "What do you do with all that power?" nothing. you sit in traffic and get frustrated, lol...

Took a drive to an octoberfest not to far (hour away) - top down all the way, for october, the weather here is perfect lately. Park in some random lot - "F'ing mustang, eh?" "That's f'ing beautiful!" Dude was from Mebourne (australia?) just got married. We chatted for a few minutes; gave it few revs for him, etc... No one cares about the Escalade right next to me; or the mercedes a few spots down. Pull up in a convertible Mustang and heads pivot.

Way home - speeding ticket :( oops! First one in this car. 90 in a 55 - let me go with a seatbelt ticket. As nice as I could be (never give cops shit) - did an eye test to make sure I wasn't lying about 1 beer and 1 mixed drink 3 hours before. Then proceeded to get shit from the wife who was with us the rest of the drive home. Got passed by a Charger or something Dodge while trying to observe the speed limit

love this car.

Haha, gotta love the title of this thread. F'ing Mustang eh?

But yes, I think people admire Mustangs of all generations, especially the S550. The body style stands out because there is nothing on the road like it. Mercedes, BMWs, Audis. They all look the same these days. Boring...

And who says the Mustang isn't a UUV. (Ultimate utility vehicle) You can go fast, corner fast, and carry a heck of a lot of stuff. :headbang:

Gotten plenty of "nice car" from guys. Nothing from girls except a 10 yr old that was passing by (sheesh)

and one of the neighborhood milfs likes it. So 1 woman and lots of guys like it.

Since I got the car for me and not to impress anyone, i'm ok with it

I fit 4 305 tires and wheels, a pop-up tent, a sleeping tent, a sleeping pad, my mobile toolbox, a jack, jack stands, two torque wrenches, my camera equipment, and my duffle bag full of clothes in my car. Well, I may use an inflatable roof rack system or stick the pop-up out of the truck and tie the trunk down, but... it gets in there. One reason I didn't buy the Camaro - trunk in that thing is useless.

You are correct there, that's what all the S197 Mustang owners say as well, only they describe it with a word that starts with U--Y.:D:D

I still get more compliments than I could ever imagine in my 12 year old bucket!

Seriously, it's almost once a month. Have had multiple people at work tell me how good it sounds and recently had a guy at the gym telling me how nice it was.

I have had my car over two years and I still get constant compliments. In the last week I’ve had two people roll their windows down at stop lights and tell me the exhaust sounds amazing (Corsa Sport catback which seems fairly quiet inside but I learned just recently after hearing another one it’s way the hell louder outside the car than I thought it was, it’s just as loud as the Extreme at higher rpms just with a lower pitch).

I used to like Camaros but the S550 design is timeless imo, the first time I saw one I was visiting Puerto Rico on vacation with absolutely no desire to get a new car (had a Tacoma then) and I had one a few months later. And I NEVER cared a thing about a Mustang before - infact I somewhat disliked them from the 80s onward.

There isn’t anything else in the price range that has as much style imo. If they redesigned the Camaro it’s possible I would switch, but right now it looks like a car for kids (to me, I know some people like it). I have also grown an appreciation for the sheer number of people that have wondered up to me and told me about the mustang they used to have and their stories. The legacy of the car means a lot to more people than I ever knew.

I tend to get "do a burnout" from the neighborhood teens quite a bit. My wife gets a chuckle from it, not so much when i actually do it.. lol!

Yeah this car gets a lot of love...

I made an emergency run to the store yesterday because the whole Northbay is on fire and a dude in the parking lot was
wanting to jaw it up. I was like "Thanks man" and ran off. I'll usually talk to a person about it but didn't have the time.
