Finally got it..GTPP...first impression

First mod I would do is put A/S tires on the car. Doesn't make sense to buy a 435hp PP car, and then have to drive it "gently" because its cold.

check your tire pressure, they overfill the tires for shipping. I thought it was bouncy and realized it was filled to 40 psi. Suppose to be 32psi

look into removing the clutch spring, makes the clutch feel 100x better

Car will see very limited driving in the winter. Got the Michelin Pilot SS on order with the 6GR rims. But yes, I totally agree if I was driving this thing regularly in winter I'd probably get some Blizzak's actually.

I have found that black is not that difficult to take care of. I bought Pinnacle's Souveran Sizzling Shine kit. Follow directions and your car will look amazing. I also use two bucket wash method or my foam gun. And nothing touches the car but good microfiber.

They are for real. Wrote me up for exactly what we discussed via email and honored my $750 cash offer after the fact. Like someone else said they do try to sell you the usual, GAP insurance, extended warranty, etc but it's not a hard sell. It was actually a pleasant buying experience.

There are a couple local places but I have not personally been to any of them.

The clutch will be a little heavier, but I feel it's a much more linear/predictable engagement withOUT that assist-spring. (...and it's not THAT much heavier.)

I will be doing the same thing, with the same car - Buying a GT PP from Koon's at the end of the month and was worried about how the summer tires would fare going up to Philly. Hearing about your good buying experience and you got home with no issues is great, and now I am more excited than ever to get the car!

In my experience, which isn't much at only 1600 miles on my car. I bought the car in October and we had some pretty warm days. And I drive the car when it's 20 degrees. Dry roads. There is nothing wrong with the Pirelli tires. When it's cold, just watch out. The ass end of the car will step out on you MUCH easier than when it's warm out.

Thanks! Should only be like a 90 minute trip for you. Just take it slow and you'll be fine. The only time I got on it was coming out of tolls with nothing around me....just in case. Kept the traction control on also.
