I agree except convertibles have different body code from gt. So would a 50th vert be a one of one vin code for 50th vert or share code with gt verts?

SVT has them by build date, the actual order they went can be figured out as well, Mr Madlock has the build order , I'll bet he will tell you yours if you ask. It isn't even close to the serials numbers.

Your build date is on the manufacture ID plate inside you drivers door. Your dealer can tell you all the shipping data. They will have to pull your info from archives, but it is doable

You are quite right, many cars will cross state lines. It would be impossible to keep track of where they all are.
