Just got my coolant flushed and replaced literally an hour ago. Mechanic at the shop told me that my car was showing a "coolant overheat" display on my dash. Needles to say he was right. My coolant temps are PERFECT. 189-190°. Not a degree higher.

I'm guessing my coolant temp sensor took a shit on me?

Anyone else experience this? My Ford dealership opens in a few minutes. But I already know they won't be able to look at my car for a couple days. Anyone have a fix to this problem?

How is he measuring the temp?
I mean there could be an air pocket by the thermostat keeping it from opening. Your engine could be overheating but if you measuring at the wrong place, it will read low.

Just dropped it off. They are about to take a look at it. The levels are fine. It's most likely the sensor in my opinion. But we'll see. They literally just took it off my hands
