Odd issue has popped up on my 2019 MGT. I had noticed a strange rattling sound recently when driving on bumpy roads and decided to figure out what the issue was. Jacked up the passenger side, grabbed onto the front wheel and noticed an awful lot of play. Thought maybe the wheel was loose but it was not. Torqued to spec. Anyone ever had this issue pop up? I am not hard on the car much at all. Some occasional spirited driving but nothing that aggressive. Odometer just ticked over 19K. Back to the dealership she goes.

For some reason I have this worried feeling about them giving me a hard time with having ford lowering springs, struts, and aftermarket wheels but hopefully I do not have an issue getting it fixed under warranty.

Premature wheel hub bearing failure is really common with the S550’s… been so since 2015. M6G members have reported failures with extremely low miles, and even having hubs replaced 2-3x under warranty.

Schedule an appointment and have it fixed under warranty.

Yeah I have had my rear LH wheel bearing replace twice already, once at 31000km and once at 41000km. I actually think I'm about to do a third one, LHR again, at 53000km. The first 2 I caught it after jacking the car up to check something and the wheel was wobbly, this time I can hear a clear and constant grinding sound. The wheel isn't wobbly but I still think its on the way out, and grinding can be an indicator of failing. Has anyone had a grinding sound happen and it been diagnosed as bearing failure. There is definitely something going on and that seems the obvious thing.
