So quick background before I ask my question. I have or should say had, a 2016 GT base model car without performance pack. The stock brakes were great in it...barely touched the brakes and it would grab and stop quickly.

My new 2017 GT premium with performance pack was just delivered to my dealer yesterday. 3 miles on her. I took it out for a very quick spin and noticed the Brembos weren't grabbing/stopping as I expected...not even to where my base GT did. I'm assuming the rotors may have a film on them to protect from corrosion and the brakes need to be broken in before they will produce full stopping power. I expect them to be improved over the base GT. I have also driven my brothers Boss mustang thatn had Brembos and it stopped on a dime.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? What should my expectation be? Granted I only drove it (easy) for a mile or 2 before bringing it back to the dealer.

Thoughts?

Baer's break in procedures work for the Mustang brakes and most factory brakes.

i didn't noticed any difference between my base gt and my pp gt braking. I actually like the base gt brakes better because much much less brake dust. I am sure brembos will come handy on the track but on the street is the same.
