Yeah I know, but i never pass up the opportunity to have a cheap shot at Apple ;) (I own a number of the audio devices and an iPad; effective and infuriating in equal measure).SteveS me either, but thought i'd go the generic route, basically picking up any phone, game console, piece of electrical equipment that required software and being told when you open it 'Its out of date, please update'
The factory is in USA and the Sat Nav SD card is the EU version so it is possible that the Sat Nav SD card is a standard version for all Ford EU Sync 2 vehicle models and not just for Mustang. They must have old stock at the factory, given when the cars were supposed to be built.
It's certainly the same card in the Mondeo. The dealers are flogging all the F5's on eBay and sticking the F4's in the Mustangs. The factory is in USA and the Sat Nav SD card is the EU version so it is possible that the Sat Nav SD card is a standard version for all Ford EU Sync 2 vehicle models and not just for Mustang.
On collection of my Mustang the dealer seemed to be in possession of the Sat Nav SD card which he placed in the slot to get the Sat Nav working.
