I'd been thinking about a RHD Mustang since hearing they were on the way and after hearing the waiting time was already at 12 months plus, I called in the dealer last week.

Surprising the deal here in Warrington didn't seem to know much.
He did tell me they'd have a car for me to see in 3 months!!
I'd love to see one in the flesh.

Reading all these UK threads has opened my eyes to the problems you lads have been having with the deals and not knowing what to expect when the cars arrive.

I'll be interested to hear how the cars are when they arrive. What the specs really are, and hopefully get some good pointers.

Really not sure when to order it, as I only want to receive it in 18 months time, but a bit worried that when the hit the road they may get far more interest and I'll miss the boat.

So hi all, keep it up, I'll be reading it all (mostly). :)

Well if you can time it such that you get the deposit down at the lowest possible price for delivery/registration March 2017 you'll get the new low road tax. As I remember it :)

But you read the situation correctly. Trying to get any information on what we're getting at the moment is like trying to find hens teeth in a large pile of rocking horse sh*t.

Welcome to the madhouse!

I wouldn't really be put off TOO much by the problems we are having. The biggest problem is lack of information and this is a worrying indicator of how such a large multinational corporation operates, but I suspect is largely inconsequential to the end product. The problems are mainly just us nit-picking and this is simply because there is such an enthusiastic and loyal following and the long wait is putting everything under the microscope for us obsessives.

It's more about our dedication than any serious quality issues. If we had our cars, no one would be half as interested in where the handbrake is located or what colour the tail lights are.

I'd definitely second this. These are 'early adopter' problems, as the distribution and logistics chain is being worked out. Once the 'Stangs start flowing they'll have streamlined the process considerably and it'll be easier to have one in your hands.

Just think of us lot as test pilots for guys like you ;)
