Exhaust tips on a 2016 Ford Mustang

I was very intrigued by these exhaust tips that I'd seen online. I purchased them after confirming with American Muscle that the diameter for stock exhaust is 2.5". They came in and they didn't fit. Am I gonna have to get them welded on?
