Exhaust recording while driving

I have a dashcam in my GT that captures sounds okay when at ilde, but clips my AWE exhaust sounds under acceleration. Have a GoPro outside, but its basically just windnoise. So I'm thinking about some sort of setup with a microphone/deadcat. Not looking to spend 100's of dollars, but would like to have something that is useful, so I can use it in some videoediting.

I'm located in Denmark, so products best be inside the EU.

What do U guys use? What are the do's and dont's here? Any tips and tricks are welcome. :thumbsup:

I've had good luck with a basic omni-directional lavalier mic, taped up with some electrical tape to protect the mic body. I close the trunk lid on it. Oh, and you need one of the good furry windscreens. Works quite well. You will need an extension for your 3.5 mm jack cable (how long depends on where you put your camera). I have the mic in that article, too, and didn't find it that good compared to the basic single mic.
