Hey guys, hoping someone might be able to help me solve my exhaust rattling on my EB.

I have an MBRP black series race version catback and a Mishimoto Catless downpipe. The rattle is coming from 1 of 2 places on the downpipe. It's either the v-clamp (where the dp and y pipe meet) hitting the hanger bracket or the actual pipe (at the bend after the mesh pipe) hitting the floorboard. I'm pretty sure it's the former, but regardless the DP needs to move about .25" towards the driver side.

I've done everything to try and move it over but it doesn't budge. FWIW, it's also stepping from from 3 to 2.25 (I think) back up to 3 where the dp and cat meet, but I have a resonator on the way to fix that issue. Anybody else run into this and if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks!

Yep had the same with the MBRP street, however got my mechanic to fix it (who also installed it).

Their explanation was that it wasn't totally centered and its a total bitch to get it just right because of how the exhaust hangers work on the Ecoboost, basically it was over to one side slightly around the mid section causing it.

For me, I could wiggle the exhaust tip on the passenger side and heard the banging, I couldn't on the drivers side (Im RHD, so looking at the car from the back, on the left side I could wiggle for the rattle).

Afterwards I couldn't and it hasn't rattled since.

I know the adjustment was around the mid section the most, but Im not exactly sure how

I have the factory downpipe too FYI.

Well the catback went in semi-fine, it wasn't until I added the downpipe. Having said that, I did have to have my mbrp adjusted too on the same side (drivers side LHD) because the tip was touching the bumper and I didn't want to risk melting the plastic.

I've got a resonator coming in tomorrow, BC with the catless DP, the drone is just too much, and I'd like to be 3" all the way back. Anyways, I need to get a v-clamp flange welded to it, so maybe I'll just having him put it in too and then adjust it while the car is there. Surprised how much it shakes though. There's a good .25" of cushion there but it still manages to rattle. I guess I had some hope that opening it to 3" all the way back would eliminate that.
