Exhaust manifold differences

Anyone know the difference between the Gen2 stock exhaust manifolds and the Gen3 stock exhaust manifolds? The left side seems to have gone from FR3Z-5G232-A to FR3Z-5G232-C. Reason I ask is because I have a left over exhaust manifold from when I put headers on my 2016. Was thinking whether or not to modify my old manifold by cutting off the catalytic converter, buying a cat delete, and making an interchangeable flange so I can swap between cats and no cats without too much fuss.

If it's a different catalyst/emissions level then it would be different.

So then maybe the manifold itself is the same but the catalytic converter and perhaps sensor placement is different?

Gen 3 # is actually JR3Z-5G232-C. They appear to be similar except that the Gen 3 has a slip on end vs Gen 2 ball end.
