If I have water leaking from the x pipe hooks ups where stock clamps are do I have an exhaust leak? I'm thinking it's a yes, but I wanted to ask the experts. Maybe I didn't put the stock clamps on all the way? Doesn't sound like I have exhaust leak but I do have some popping occasionally in between shifts. And I beleive it's only when car is cold. You know how you see water coming out exhaust tips in the morning.

When I installed my lowering springs about a week after I had the muffler shop install my axle back, I noticed the same thing dripping off the band clamps on both sides. I remember my muffler guy saying "I'm not too fond of these types of clamps. They're so 80's". LOL. If it is a leak I guess i'll be heading back to get it welded myself.

They just go on kind of funny. I think maybe they are not on properly. Gonna need to recheck when I get car up.

Mine do the exact same thing at the exact same place, and only when cold and condensation builds up. I've had mine off a couple of times and have checked the torque on the clamps several times, to no avail.

A little frustrating - yes. But as far as a true exhaust leak, there is nothing I can hear or smell.

I had the exact same leak with an h-pipe. Took it to a shop that put a couple spot welds in for $20 and leak is gone.

Yea I for sure don't want to weld it. I want to be able to un bolt if ever needed for mods.

Jack it up, put it on jackstands of course, start it, and slide under there. Before the pipes get hot move your hands around the area to see if you feel any air blowing out. If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Check your exhaust fluid levels. Not good to be leaking exhaust fluid.

That looks like a minor exhaust leak, it can be tough to really seal it up well with the slip on / clamp style. It might need to be loosened and readjusted then tightened down again.

You'll also notice black carbon build up from most leaks, did you see any around the clamp or the area that's leaking? And yeah you can usually feel air from a leak while neutral revving.
