exhaust help

This one is a little different. I had the Gibson x pipe and mufflers which was way too quite. So I removed my mufflers and now it is way too loud and too much rasp. I don't mind the loudness but the raspy needs to go at around 4k. I'm not on here much and if i am I don't read about exhaust systems. I tried searching but couldn't get an answer and for the people that's always on here probably has my answer. If I were to install the slp shotgun style resonators will it still be loud? I'm not wanting it to get much quieter if any or would some 12" glasspacks be louder but remove the rasp? Help me please if possible but if not I'll be going with slp first.

i suggest spending it on a catback... less worrying about which x pipe or mufflers to put on... muffler deletes are no go.. car needs back pressure...


look into getting a catback... less headaches.. i suggest talking to the vendors over here.. check out the Corsa Xtreme catback... not raspy and no Drone.. you should ask for Jay or Dan at Hypermotive

Just so I understand you're currently just running straight pipes or nothing after the X pipe?

Yea I got the Gibson cat back on it and it was way too quite so I cut the mufflers off, bent some new tubing and reinstalled the tips. I'm even thinking about 10 series flowmasters
