Sorry for this late answer, i'm still on holidays with a very limited access to internet (and a lot of work to do in building my new house).

Small detail: the nut and the rest part of the screw BEHIND the aluminium plate will extend at least 1 cm at the four corners or wherever. Actually they will extend more than the protective black tape. Correct?

With the possible bending (at high speeds) it is very possible the nuts and screws touch the bumper so leave marks on it. Correct?

Maybe is wise to cover the nuts with some plastic nut caps like this:

Don't forget that even this needs inspection from time to time. These things are not build to last years.

Any other thoughts how to avoid marks from nuts?

Furthermore for anti-steal protection I would suggest to use this type of screws (with flat head)

I know but that's exactly what I'm trying to tell:
Rubber pads in the MIDDLE is useless if the screw and nut at the corners extend over a i.e. 1cm.

The longest the plate the easier the bending. We alao use 52 cm wide license plates.

UNLESS the aluminium plate is very very strong. Maybe 3mm thick is safer for 52cm. plates.

I'm sure that you can find it easily at every tool store. Even at Praktiker.

Unless some idiot will try with a nut key to unscrew from behind. That will scratch the bumper HEAVILY.

For the nuts: we can use rivets and flatten them in the back.

For more professional installation we can also use this type of nut. I don't know how you call it. We call it "blind nut". They use these nuts especially for kitchen furniture in order to avoid scratch the hands when opening a closets.

But it can also mark the bumper with extreme bending.

Be prepared before you go to the dealer for delivery. No one dealer give such an attention for mounting a license plate.

I have discussed it with my dealer, and they had interest in the final product as well. None the less we need some rubber tabs that fit on the back of the bolts, hard plastic will scratch as well.

Why no tape it to the holder instead of screwing? After all the holder is only taped to the car... I guess plate theft isn't an issue up here Hut it would be relatively easy to just undo the one but holding the bracket to the thingy under the bumper wouldn't it?

What kind of marks would this 3m stuff leave in the paint of your to try and remove it though?

Good point, I would start with covering the full bracket with the black stuff as shown in post 16
