First pics of prototypes (IT and BE models currently):
Front view :

View from below, fastening with one nut and one washer :

View from behind, rubber pads to avoid scratching the paint (don't look at the misalignement between the 2 pads, it's a prototype [emoji28]) :

The nut will be hidden behind the plate once mounted :

View from side :

To do: test 3M tapes to find the best one to use, one already in testing.

Hope you enjoy

I'm in pichon!
I read some comments on vibrating plates making annoying noises at higher speeds. Do you think it could be something to look at as the BE one is 52cm...looking forward to the end result! Sure there will be other drivers willing to keep there bumper free of any holes! Show purposes, reselling or simply to keep it clean and as original as possible. Good work ! :clap2::cheers:

Would you like the measurements for UK plates? Ours are similar shape to Untamed's pic but we have only 2 holes along the horizontal centre line approx 5cms in from the sides

To see if it could have a problem under high speed conditions, i've made a computational fluid dynamics study, combined with a structural study, of my design.

I've made it on the belgian bracket, the largest and the closest in terms of dimensions to the most of european plates.

The conditions i've take into account is a speed of 200km/h, and the plate itself is not present (the worst case, because with the plate, it forms a sort of multi-layer material, which reduces the déformations).

You could look at attached pictures (the deformation scale is about 9 times the real deformation), i obtain a max deformation of 9.5mm (the red areas) ==> it would be less with the plate and the contact point with the bumper, not taked into account too.

Awesome, love the attention to detail when putting an idea together :clap2:

Doh, i've forgot the must important thing, i've made the price, you could ask me by private message
What's included: the plate holder (2mm stainless steel) + the mounting plate (2mm stainless steel + 3M 5952F VHB tape) to "paste" under the bumper + 1 nylstop nut + 1 washer + 4 rivets, but without shipping

As Hannibal would say : i love it when a plan comes together !
Your first customer is in....Only minor problem right now is the car to mount it on :doh:

I think I'm convinced now!

Would love some little extra's though if possible.

4 rivets, make it 8 so we can use the same on the back plate.
And a spare 3M kit, just in case we need to take it of for detailing or clear bra etc. Screws show near the end of the video...

Think he's waiting for a French test car to do a try out...

On the French Licence Plate we don't have any holes to screw them on the car.
We must drill the holes first.

Maybe we need to find another solution for the French one because with the holes in the Corner don't know if it's work fine ...
I take it you normally have to drill your plates to fit to the car? If yes then there is no difference drilling your plates to suit the custom bracket?

In the UK we have to drill our plates to suit the fitment, 2 holes along the centre line of the plate. For me I will either drill the holes in the plate to suit the custom bracket OR most likely buy some more 3M tape and stick it to the bracket for a clean look on the plate :)

Good idea the 3M tape to mount the plate on the bracket!
In some countries seems to be illegal not to use nuts&bolts..
