Go take a vacation in Minot ND. Temps get there a bit more frequently and they are little more used to it. Well as used to -30 degrees as you can get lol. Tell you what, once you experience weather like that...being outside in just below 0 weather isn't so bad haha all you need is a hoodie at that point :D

Would you really call that a vacation, or punishment?

This really isn't a stop/start feature though, it's more for safety and in case you accidentally leave your car running w/ your key in the car. I would also assume this can be disabled as in extreme cold climates people leave their car's running for hours when shopping and such.
I'd be interested in finding out how this feature can be disabled. As you said, in extreme cold climates it would need to be disabled. Also, if I want to put the car in the garage to kill myself.

Shut the engine off and start it again, or blip the throttle.

Depends on your point of view, at the time punishment; but once you left everywhere would feel like a vacation

but we really should just give that place to Canada lol
