not sure what to refer to it as, but as you decelerate while in S mode the transmission goes through each gear(if your not using the paddle shifters). I could see being useful maybe it in S+ and track, but can a tuner disable this behavior in S mode?

the transmission is downshifting which I thought was the point of S mode, to simulate a manual transmission

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Leave it in "D".

A little late reply, but I get your point. Would love to have the sport mode transmission shift pattern all the time without the ridiculous downshifting. That would make the automatic fairly acceptable

what you are asking for is the up shifting characteristics of S mode and the down shifting characters of D mode, the transmission downshifts in D but not as obviously.

Ultimately D mode shifting optimized. Specifically better throttle response and not dropping into 6th so early. Then leave the shifting alone in S mode but disable the engine braking.

Lund says the don't usually do this but they can so I might give them a shot.
