Alrighty, picking it up Tuesday morning.... then making a mad dash for the Ferry in Dover. Working weds morning at 7am!!

The parts are already in, except (I think) they just realised one or more of the bolts are stretch bolts and of course cant be re-used.

The stretch bolts come in tomorrow, and then the car will be put back together on Monday. I pick it up on Tues morning.

Obviously relying on quite a few things going correctly there and no hiccups with the re-assembly.... but ive no choice. My schedule is chocka and this is my only chance in the next 6 weeks to get the car.

Fingers crossed!
Hoping it's all fixed up good :)!

Ive got it back.

First things first, absolute credit to Evans Halshaw in Hull. They have been GREAT. Not often you get to say that, but they deserve a lot of praise.

Its mental how different this clutch feels in comparison to the old one. The pedal is also fully returning all the way to the top, for the first time EVER. Its clear to me my old clutch and/or release bearing was knackered from the get-go, but not having anything to compare it to, I didnt know any better.

EH discounted the bill nicely. 20% off the labour rates and a very decent discount on the price of the clutch assembly.

Good stuff mate, all in all just under 1k for a clutch change at dealership is not a bad price on such a car.

I'd still be pressing for Ford UK to cover the cost though as the clutch should not have failed, like you say sounds like yours was not right from get go which has caused it excessive stress and caused premature failure.
