If your friend likes the Mustang, tell him to buy one. Something tells me that if it really bothers his dad what kind of car his son owns he is not a very good father anyway.

It is his life, not his dads.

I don't think he meant that literally but I have seen families loyal to one brand or another, His family is loyal to GM so it's not his fault, it just proves that there might be something in the theory that stupidity is hereditary.
