3rd issue.

The tip of the front adjustment tool snapped on me while I was turning the adjustment rings. No problem you can always use a screwdriver or whatever you can stick in the hole. Maybe I gave it to much torque??

That tool looks like junk. You need something like this. They are sold by the pin size and adjusting collar diameter.

891.webp

I've used coil overs that had collars and wrenches like this.

Yes I know they are junk. The problem is the ring is a different design and unfortunately you can't use the wrenches. I really loves how kw put 1 set screw to lock everything down.

You could use the type wrench with the round pin and marked "Germany". BTW, all the coil overs I have used racing never had a setscrew. It would mess up the acme threads on the body. This is why they use a second "lock nut" beneath the adjuster instead. Unfortunately the adjuster and lock nut are two different diameters requiring two size different wrenches.

I do not know specifically.

I had my car realigned to GT performance package specifications for toe, camber, and caster. Do you have any caster issues after your coilover installation?

no not at all. My caster is 7.6 on both sides. just wanted to know why you bought camber caster plates if you were not going to adjust your caster? The coilovers come with slotted holes to adjust camber.

Well installed the 350LBS springs but the shocks up front are having little trouble keeping up on rebound. So going to return the 350LBS and try the 300LBS or maybe 275LB?

I'd give 300 a try. Similar to BMR handling spring rate. Sounds like these have similar or slightly less rebound damping than the FRPP track handling dampers, definitely less than Koni/Steeda. Ground control you can't come soon enough...

I would get 275. That's about Swift Spec R range and those springs have hard-on-grade reviews by their owners.

See that's the thing. Going from 250 to 275 might not make a difference. But 300 I am sure it will but I still have to worry about the rebound with the 300.

So went to eibach and picked up set of 275lbs. They gave me really good price because I drove 30 miles. It came out to $83 for both springs. I haven't installed it yet but I will after my nap. But just pressing down the springs from a 250 and a 275 you can feel difference.

The spring game! I'm in that boat now. I'm currently at 425 front and 650 rear ( true coilover) best way to test is put a zip tie on the shock shaft (tight but not to tight) and go drive around slam on the brakes, take some corners, see what the zip tires tell you. You want atleast 1" left on the shock without bottoming out.

275lbs ride just a bit stiffer. I would say it is a perfect match for these coilovers. I took it for a drive and I can strongly recommend these coilovers are excellent for a daily driver mustang and you can go really low without hitting the stops.
