Hmm, I don't think that is what we are seeing here. It looks like the California Special grill to me. They just didn't black out the "mesh." It seems like some type of test mule, but I don't think we are seeing any pony pack parts here. I could be wrong. My guess is that the pony pack grill is going to be a copy of the 50th corral grill. That's what it was on older models. That's just pure speculation though.

Don't think that's it.

The press release says that the Pony Package has the chrome window surround and side stripe, which this does not have.

Whatever that is in the photos, 0/10 would not buy.

Compare it to a 2013 MCA V 6. Same features...here is my 13 MCA grill.

Now I'm really curious to see what it looks like. I liked the picture of the wheels for the pony pack. I'd like to see what they look like on the car. I probably won't be buying till next year anyway so I might consider the pony pack.

You may be correct in the assumption that this is the Pony Package. Consider:

- it is not the same grille as the official California Special (this one has chorme stuff)
- the rear spoiler is not the same as the California Special either
- no GT badges
- no hood vents that I can tell
- has the base 2015 Ecoboost wheels so this is either a V6 or an Ecoboost car

The prototype probably just did not get the chrome surrounds for the window. Also note; since the package includes chrome window surrounds then the grille will likely be chrome like this.

DEAR FORD,

IS IT TOO LATE TO CHANGE THE "PONY PACKAGE" NAME???

I imagine it's just an Ecoboost California Special appearance package. Chevy is coming out with the Camaro "Krypton".

Can't we do an Ecoboost "Road Fury"?

Get it into Hollywood but nothing lame...

I'd rather see a Fast-N-Furious Edition EB. The EBFF!!!

If anything it would be a Need for Speed edition.

So, has there been any pictures of the pony pack? I'm curious to see what those wheels and the grill look like. It's something I'd consider getting if I like the look. I'm skeptical about the side stripe, but I'll wait and see.

That's the Pony Package minus the chrome surrounds , side stripe and wheels. Might be a test mule for airflow with that grill and spoiler.. Wouldn't need the wheels and stripes for that

Also if you zoom in on the images, it has no rear panel and it is either a base Eco or V6- most likely the former as they aren't giving us V6 people any Pony package lol

Well Twin Turbo, it looks like you were right after all. I wish you weren't; that grill is ugly.

Haha........I've had to be right at some point :headbonk:

I'm with you though, the grille disappoints. Lose the vertical bars and it would be much nicer
